All I've seen of your part of the world was in the movie
_A Waltz Through the Hills_ ... however, I'd rather take a bike ride
through your hills (some day). What's the best bike for touring Oz?

Hiya Sean,

Oh dear, good question Oz is big place , we have some great twisties and we
have some great bit long horrible stretches of straight roads.

theres also plenty of dirt.gravel tracks that go all over the place.

so for starters i migth suggest a good sports-tourer like perhaps the
fjr1300 or st1300 , if you wanted to ride some say perth to sydney then the
goldwing would be the go , if you wanted to do dirt tracks then onew of the
beemer rgs1100 would be cool.

I dunno how I would get my Electra-Glide shipped all the way from
here to Perth... it's about as close to my antipode as you can get
on dry land. Well, maybe the Kerguelen Islands are closer.

ps. Which side of the road do you drive on? Also, is it true that

I've got a beautiful '83 FXRS-SP shovel you could rent off me for the right
price :)
I was expecting flames from the locals..I've been riding a kwaka for the
last few months & I've noticed everyone else on a bike waves or nods to me.
When I ride my harley & I wave at other riders they ignore me..
I'm a bit pissed, I'll shut up now..hic..

too pissed to notice your questions..
we drive on the proper side of the road, the left, & yes the queens face is
on our coins..
whether its the opposite side of the coin or not I'll leave to the more
politically astute than me..
