my mate (as per ealrier posts)

is looking at 95 cbr600 , 48000 kays , supposedly in good nick $4000

which got me wondering (shaddup clem)

whats else is available or preferable at the age/price

im guessing the cbr600's are a good bet , there would also be the first
model zx6r;s and probbaly early yzf600 , dunno if
suzuki have anything except maybe the rf600 which doesnt seem that popular

from what i can gather cbr600 (f3 ???) dont change much until 98 when the f4
came and zx6r didnt change much till the h model came out ???

cheers corks

The best bike I ever had for just riding around locally was the Suzuke
RF600.

You could get a 1996 YZF600 like I used to have for around $5k. The zx-6r's
tend to be a grand more expensive.

nothing wrong with rf600 if you treat it good. dump the standard plugs for
dual sparks start her up ride her hard and she will be good to you. not much
good for a wheelie to heavy 195kgs grips the road real good leans well but
the honda is faster rf600 has the looks to turn heads
